What stays on your iPhone

Your recordings, transcripts, notes, folders, to-dos and reminders are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them. Like other app data, they can be included in your own device backups, which Apple handles under its privacy policy.

When crispnote uses the internet

• Downloading speech, voice and summary models. When you choose a model, crispnote downloads it from Hugging Face. Like any web server, Hugging Face can see your IP address and which file was requested. No note content is sent.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details.
• Subscription status. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether you have crispnote Pro. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous identifier created by the app, your purchase history for crispnote, and basic device information such as country, app version and iOS version. It does not receive your notes or audio.

Permissions

The microphone is used only while you record. Speech recognition runs on your device. Notifications are local reminders scheduled on your iPhone, including an optional reminder before a free trial ends.

What we don't do

No ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no selling or sharing of data for advertising, and no tracking across other apps or websites.

Children

crispnote is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your choices and rights

You can delete any note in the app, or all data by deleting the app. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. To ask about, or request deletion of, the purchase records RevenueCat holds for your anonymous identifier, contact us and we will handle it.

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date above.
